  9. Lisa Holmes says:

Dear Sheila, since I don’t have your address, this will have to suffice for a card. I can tell you that it helps me to look back at the ones we received when Bob died. You were so kind to come to his showing, and I’ll try to come to Doc’s if I can find out the date. Just like me, you’ll have so many wonderful memories of your marriage to think back on, and just like He had for me, the Lord has something wonderful planned for your future and mine while our husbands get to enjoy spending time with Jesus!

Although I don’t know exactly what to say, I want you to know that I am with you in thought and wish you comfort and peace as you remember your husband. We are asking the Lord to allow the Joy of the many wounderful years of memory be your strength. Love and appreciate you.

I wouldn just have gotten through the Course of Study at MVNU without the friendship and help of Doc. Good friend. Great sense of humor.
    My best memory…
My best friend Matt Holcomb and myself we’re eating dinner at Taco Bell over on 36 in Mount Vernon. We bow our heads to pray. (When you pray with my buddy Matt, it might take a while and your fries might be cold by the time he’s done) But, Doc prayed this time. Matt and I took our hats off and got ready for some prayer. All we heard next was the word “Thanks”. There was an awkward pause as Matt and I opened our eyes. We look up and Doc is eating. Doc says, “What, that’s all God asks.”
Matt and I looked at each other and we just started eating. Never will forget Doc. His dedication to the Lord was obvious. God bless the Burrows family.

  13. Jeff Hostetlet says:

I made friends with Bob in 1974/75 at Chippewa High school in Doylestown Ohio. He was a great guy then and lm sure became a wonderful man. RIP my brother. Chipps forever
