  8. Kim & Herold Ribsskog says:

    Our Dearest Miss Rita,
What can one say about our dearest Rita?
Rita was kind, so kind. No one was a stranger and you would never be hungry in her company. She put the word “lumpia” in a lot of peoples’ vocabulary.
Rita was giving. Always – not just Christmas. She would give you the shirt off her back if she thought you needed it – and she would throw in Mark’s too, just in case.
Rita was determined. Oh yeah. Once she got an idea or project in her sights, look out, she was going to make it happen.
Rita was indeed special and we are fortunate to have known her and be able to call her a friend. She will always be with us. Although we are miles away, we are with you and yours Mark, smiling at the memories through our tears.
Love from Kim, Herold & Mamma Kari

  15. Barbara Fearn says:

    Dear Mark and family,
We just heard about Rita’s passing. We are so, so sorry. When I (Barbara) moved to Beaufort in 2009, The Filion Station was the first place I went for an outing. The minute I walked in, Rita met me with a beautiful smile. I told her I didn’t know anyone and she stayed and talked with me until I felt comfortable. Even introducing me to people. It just doesn’t make sense to us. Just know she is being taken care of by God and the city of Beaufort will always remember her. She was one of a kind! May God watch over you, and if you need anything, please let us know.
    Barbara and Rick
