  3. Cora Lee Ingleright Shoemaker says:

Mary Claire was my first friend. Ever. We grew up next door to each other, went to school together, went to church together and went to camp together. As older adults we didn’t see much of each other; but, when we did, we were children again. Jumping up and down and giving each other big hugs. Mary Claire was one of the most vivacious individual I have ever know. This world will be less joyful without her presence. I will miss you my dear friend.

  6. Karen Rasmussen says:

My prayers are with all of you and you all are in my thoughts. Mary Claire was and always will be a sister in my heart and was a very dear friend to me. Although we only knew one another for about 3 years, every day was special because of her. She brightened my life and was more concerned about me than what was happening in her life because she was such a selfless person; always giving to others and taking care of those she loved. Her family was her number 1 priority and her wonderful husband and soulmate Ted. She never said a negative word about anyoneeven if she was upset, she remained positive and loved with such unconditional love, she was such an inspiration to me and I will never forget her and all she taught me.

I will miss her sense of humor, which is a lot like my own and that is what first brought us together, she’d left a comment on something funny I posted on Pinterest and we became friends immediately. We shared many laughs but also shed tears together but we usually ended up laughing again.

There are so many things I love about Mary Claire and so many things I want to say. However, if I sum her up into one word, it would be love. Love kept her going and you knew you were loved by her because she treated everyone with pure love.

Mary Claire will live on through memories and our love for her and her love for us. Death can never take away the love and the bond we shared with her, in fact, if we allow it, our bonds and our love will continue to grow, until we see her again. But until that glorious day, she will be with us, watching over us and loving us from the other side. She will come to us when we need her and when we reach out to her. We may not be able to see her, but she will be there.

Be free now Mary Clare, from all the pain and from the Earthly body that no longer served you. Run through fields of daisies and relax on the most beautiful beaches, letting the sand go through your toes.

All my love to you, Mary Claire and to your family and to Ted.
Karen (KareBear as you lovingly called me)
