  1. Jerry and Sheila Young says:

Dad and Mom Herold were just like Beaver’s parents. Both dressed and ready for anything life had in store. She even wore pearls! They were gracious hosts, loving parents and grandparents.
My favorite memory is going to their home on the beach for cocktail hour. A huge telescope was on the balcony facing towards the launch pad for spaceships. I asked Dad Herold if the telescope was to watch the launchings. He turned and looked at me and said, “No! It’s to watch the babes!”
    Gotta love that man!
    Bless all of you.

  2. Nancy Armstrong says:

Ted and Jean were like my second parents AND my good friends. The years living next door to them were truly some of the most cherished in my life. When Jean left us, Ted carried on bravely continuing to share gourmet meals, wine and laughter.

I would like to thank all of his precious family for allowing me to become a part of your lives also.

But as he would often say to me, “heh, we had a good run!”
