Derrell Austin Mock Jr., 48, of Beaufort, South Carolina, died Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of Derrell A. Mock, Sr. and Teresa Shoemaker Mock. Austin was a plumber.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Dion Mock; a sister, Davon Mock; a nephew, Joseph Gentelia; and an aunt, Brenda Wilson.

    Darrell I love you and miss you dearly. You were my big brother. You looked out for me no matter what was going on and I know in my heart you will continue to look over me and guide me. You were the best big brother a little sister could ask for. You are now at peace and I’m thankful for that cause God knows you weren’t at peace in life. You lived life to the fullest, no matter where you went or what you did you had a smile on your face. I know you are flying high with the angels right now. You are with MoMA now and God knows I love you two so much. I miss you I love you and God knows I wish you were still here with me but God knows best and he must have needed you up there more right now. So to my big brother fly high and be blessed cause and due time we will be together again. I love you rest now and give MoMA my love hold on to one another til we meet again.     Darrell you was always a great friend and do anything for anybody. I know we didn’t hang out much when we got older but we always talked.when we seen each other.Your gonna be missed brother,you had touched so many people with your kindness.R.I.P brother you’ll never be forgotten.
