Sarah Louise Russell

Sarah Louise Russell, 88, of Port Royal, widow of Edward M. Russell Jr., Captain USMC (Retired), died Thursday, July 31, 2025 at her home.

Sarah is survived by her daughters Debbie and Diane (Dennis); grandchildren Nicole, Denise, David, Joe, Kayla, John, Ray, and Danie and 14 great grandchildren.

Sarah was born in Ernul, North Carolina and was a daughter of the late Samuel Adams and Julia Louise McRoy Jones. In addition to her husband and parents, Sarah was predeceased by her brother Douglas, her sons Mark, Matt and Mike, and son in law Dennis Quirin.

A graveside service for Sarah will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Beaufort National Cemetery. Following the graveside service, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Baptist Church of Beaufort. Following the memorial service a reception will be held in the Green Room at the Church.

Copeland Funeral Service is assisting the Russell family with arrangements.
