Rosalyn “Rosie” Riddle Kolb, 81, of Beaufort wife of Benjamin Jackson “Jack” Kolb, died Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Rosie was born in Union, South Carolina and a daughter of the late Forrest C. and Alice Ragin Godshall. She graduated from Winthrop College, where she received her Bachelors of Arts and from the University of South Carolina, where she received her Master’s Degree. Rosie worked for Beaufort and Lancaster County School Districts as a school counselor. Rosie received the Guidance Counselor of the Year. Rosie was a lifelong Gamecock fan. She was a member of Gideon’s International and The Baptist Church of Beaufort, where she was a Stephen Minister. She was first married to the late Rev. Ralph Riddle. She was predeceased by two brothers Forrest and Edward Godshall.
In addition to her husband of the home, Rosie is survived by a son Richard Riddle and Wendy Hamilton; stepsons Jackson Kolb and wife Sarah and Jeff Kolb and wife Shelley; seven grandchildren Ben Kolb and wife Marissa Kolb, Emily Bishop and husband Caleb, Hogan Kolb, Mabrey Fraser and husband Connor, Carter Kolb, Clara Kolb, and Tillman Kolb; two great grand-daughters Laney and Livy Kolb and one great grandson Hayes Bishop.
A memorial service for Rosie will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, May 23, 2026 at The Baptist Church of Beaufort.
