Robert Beverly Albright entered eternal rest on June 26, 2025. Bob was born in Findlay, Ohio to George and Frances Albright. He graduated from Findlay High School and Miami University, where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. After college, Bob served in the United States Coast Guard, stationed in Miami, Florida.
Bob was a real estate developer and a contractor. Over the course of his career, he built single family homes in Ohio and South Carolina, apartment buildings in Ohio, and condominium projects in Hilton Head, SC, Boca Raton and Key Largo, FL.
Bob was an active long-time member in the ministries of First Presbyterian Church, Hilton Head, before transferring his membership to First Presbyterian Church, Beaufort in 2012. Bob’s avid curiosity and his love for travel took him to 58 countries. He had a passion for baking, specializing in his famous chocolate chip cookies, which were enjoyed by many friends over the years. Bob will be remembered for his quick wit, curious mind, and his love for the Ohio State Marching Band.
Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rebecca Drafts Albright, his children Pam Singley (Jerry) of Atlanta, Ga., Richard Albright (Marion) of Knoxville, Tn., and Ann Creel (Terry) of Atlanta, Ga., He is also survived by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Beaufort, SC, on Monday, July 7 th at 11:00 am, followed by a reception in the church fellowship hall. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Charleston Atlantic Presbytery, 4701 Park Place West, North Charleston, SC 29405 or Friends of Caroline Hospice, 329 Friends Lane, Ridgeland, SC 29936.
