Norma T. Patterson (Lola)
September 15, 1938 – August 11, 2026

Norma T. Patterson, affectionately known as “Lola,” 87, of Beaufort, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Sunnabella Assisted Living in Savannah, Georgia.

Norma was born on September 15, 1938, in Manila, Philippines, to the late Glecirio M. Tamayo and Natividad M. Lagunera. She was raised in Manila alongside her six brothers and sisters, where she developed the strong family values, loving spirit, and nurturing heart that she carried throughout her life.

Norma eventually made her way to the United States, where she worked at the Marine Corps Exchange on Parris Island. She later pursued a career in insurance before becoming a car salesperson, a profession from which she eventually retired.

After retirement, Norma devoted much of her time to what brought her the greatest joy—her family, especially her grandchildren. She embraced her role as a grandmother wholeheartedly and was always happiest when surrounded by those she loved. One of her absolute favorite things to do was cook Filipino food for her grandchildren. She took great pride in preparing meals for them and lovingly feeding them rice by hand. These simple, precious moments became cherished memories that her family will carry with them forever.

Norma will be remembered for her love of family, her generous heart, her nurturing spirit, and the many ways she showed her love through food, care, and togetherness. Her legacy will live on through the generations she helped nurture and the countless lives she touched.

She leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy, her children: Inday Tassos (Chris) of Clarksburg, West Virginia; Jocelyn Dixon of Augusta, Georgia; Albert Clark of Beaufort, South Carolina; and Vicky Ferguson (Ray) of Beaufort, South Carolina. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Derek, Dexter, Sebastian, Gregory, Archer, Kiara, Baranger, Jennifer, Jocelyn, Reagan, and J.R.; along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

The family is eternally grateful to the hospice staff who provided compassionate care and comfort to Norma during her final days. A special expression of gratitude is extended to Ms. Ferguson, whose loving care, compassion, and dedication meant so much to Norma and her family.

Though Norma’s physical presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave, the family she nurtured, and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Rest peacefully, Lola. Your love will continue to live on through every generation you helped nourish, every family meal you prepared, and every heart you touched.
