Longtime Beaufort-area resident, Joan M. Maloney, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 10, 2025. She was 99 years old.
Joan devoted her life to her family, her first love and abiding legacy, with passion and gratitude.
Joan is survived by her five children, 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren (with another on her way).
Paul E. Maloney, Joan’s husband of 58 years, predeceased her in 2006 and rests in Beaufort National Cemetery. Joan will join him there; they are reunited in God’s loving embrace.
A Memorial Mass for Joan will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2025 at St. Peter's Historical Church, 710 Carteret Street, Beaufort. Burial will follow at 12:00 noon at Beaufort National Cemetery.
Suit and tie or conservative business casual attire welcome. No jeans or sneakers, please.
