BEAUFORT - JoAnn E Kozak, 81, of Beaufort and widow of Robert A. Kozak, died Friday, March 13, 2015, at Bay View Manor.
JoAnn was born in Los Angeles, CA. She was a registered nurse who worked at Beaufort Memorial Hospital as head nurse in the emergency room in the early 1980's. She also worked for Home Health in Beaufort, Jasper, and Hampton Comprehensive Health Services. After retiring she served in the Home Health Advisory Board for Comprehensive Health Services. JoAnn was also a volunteer for Friends of Caroline Hospice and was also a part of the "Old Guard". She was also a proficient seamstress.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Jeananne C. Gould.
JoAnn is survived by a son Albert F Gould.
A graveside service will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Beaufort Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to Friends of Caroline Hospice - 1110 13th Street, Port Royal, South Carolina 29935.
