LADY'S ISLAND - Guy Frank Talley Sr., 62, of Lady's island, died Sunday, December 8, 2013, at MUSC after a long illness.
Guy was born December 13, 1950 in Beaufort and was a son of the late Homer LeRoy and Jennie Horton Talley. Guy worked for Sea Island Marine for 26 years and previously at Beaufort Muffler & Auto. Guy was predeceased by a sister Eunice Beverage. As a life-long residence of Beaufort, Guy not only leaves behind family, but many treasured friends.
Guy is survived by a son, Guy F. Talley Jr. and daughter Sandra Gail Talley; a daughter in law Tammy Hicks; grandchildren Guy F. Talley III and girlfriend Michelle Kight; Noah Young; Tyler, Michael, and Shana Hicks. Guy Sr. was expecting a great grand-daughter, Danica, by Guy F. Talley III and Michelle Kight. Guy is also survived by a brother, Roy Talley and his wife, Linda, and a sister, Frances Mixon and her husband, Bill.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made in Guy's name to South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR), Marine Artificial Reef Program, SCDNR-MRD, ATTN: Bob Martore, Post Office Box 12559, Charleston, South Carolina 29422.
