Heaven has a new angel as Glynda Sue Tummillo, age 81, passed peacefully on March 6th, 2015 with her family by her side. Glynda was born February 4th, 1934 in Murray City, Tennessee, the daughter of Benny L. Pruette and Hazel L. Ballenger.
Glynda brightened every room she entered and never met a stranger. She lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with her family and friends. She traveled the world and was a professional memory maker for her loved ones, especially her three sons. She never missed a game, major life event or an opportunity to share her love with her boys. Her pride could not be contained when it came to her children and grandchildren seldom realizing that her heart fueled their accomplishments. She was a selfless person who was always concerned with others before herself. She will be missed by everyone that knew her and had a chance to experience her smile, her laugh, her energy and her love. Her retirement life at Callawassie Island was treasured and brought her great happiness.
Glynda is survived by her loving husband Peter; her brothers, Larry and Ronnie; her sons and daughters-in-law, Pete Tummillo, Mike Tummillo (Kelly), and Mark Tummillo (Kris) and her beloved grandchildren, Peter, Anthony, Nicholas, Michael, Olivia, Carly, Josie, Cassidy and Bella. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
The visitation will be from 5 until 7 o'clock Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Copeland Funeral Service - One Copeland Drive.
A memorial mass will be held at 9:30 Thursday, March 12, 2015, at St. Peters Catholic Church on Lady's Island. Burial will follow in Beaufort National Cemetery.
