Donald Lombardi

Donald Lombardi, 84, of Lady’s Island, husband of Joan C. Shinn Lombardi, died Monday, June 16, 2025 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

Born in Bloomfield, New Jersey, Donald was a son of the late Alphonse and Margaret C. Wheatland Lombardi. He was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force. After leaving the Air Force, he worked as a plastic’s engineer at Delta Molds and later MedTech. Donald also was a Captain for several yachts, including Flyer, PG’s Jester, Black Whale Fleet, and Gale Force.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 57 years, are a son Donald Lombardi Jr.; a daughter Dawn Lindsey; a granddaughter Addison Lindsey; a sister Carol Dormer and a brother Charles Lombardi.

No local services are planned. A Celebration of Donald’s life will be held in New Jersey at a later date.
