Bernard "Wally" Adams,

FRIPP ISLAND, SOUTH CAROLINA - Bernard Wallace "Wally" Adams, Jr. of Fripp Island, husband of Anne Caldwell Adams, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at his residence. Wally was born in Charleston, S.C. and was a son of the Late Bernard Wallace Adams Sr. and the late Marion Lacey Adams. He was formerly employed by San Mateo Times newspaper. Wally was a volunteer fire fighter with Fripp Island Fire Department, and was self-proclaimed Mayor of Fripp Island. Wally is survived by his wife of 51 years, two daughters, Terri Graham and Lisa Nyman; three brothers Edward, Lloyd and Normer Adams; and three grandchildren Alexandra, Ryan and Adam Graham. A celebration of Wally's life will be held 9:00 a.m., Sunday, July 1st at the Sandbar on Fripp Island.
